Bigger wheels roll easier over stuff and nothing soaks up more trail with more efficiency than our XCR’s. The XCR 29’s tapered head tube and steerer, 15mm thru-axle fork, 12 x 142mm thru-axle rear, asymmetrical stays and over-sized BB shell all contribute to a firm, responsive pedaling platform that doesn’t waste a watt of climbing energy or hold you back when the going’s fast.
MP4 SUSPENSION
Our XCR mp4 suspension design actuates with a very slight rising leverage rate during the first 40% of travel and then it is linear for a firm, responsive pedaling platform. A near vertical rear axle path allows uninhibited suspension performance and maximum pedaling efficiency.

TAPERED HEAD TUBE AND FORK STEERER
Riding fast with control requires steering precision, which starts with the front of the bike. Stiffening this area results in less wheel deflection, more wheel control. A tapered 1 1/8” to 1.5” head tube and steerer serves up a significant increase in rough terrain tracking and stability without much of a weight penalty compared
to standard 1 1/8” systems since the steer tube wall thickness can be reduced. Adding a 15mm QR thru-axle hub/fork interface takes steering precision over the top.
10MM SHOCK HARDWARE
Our 10mm shock hardware is NOT the standard from our rear shock suppliers. We have to pay more for it and our production lead times are usually increased because we specify it. But the increase in lateral and torsional stiffness for our frames and the rear shock durability and performance is worth every extra dollar and every extra delivery day.
WHY 15MM AXLES?
15mm thru-axle QR’s offer all the benefits of the 20mm thru-axle design (stiffness!) + the benefits of the standard 9mm QR system (quick wheel removal!) without any of the down sides. The weight of the 15mm system is similar to the classic 9mm system (thanks to the lightweight alloy axle & reduction in fork leg weight) , but it is nearly as stiff as a 20mm axle. The increase in stiffness improves steering & handling significantly. It also puts less stress on the fork’s internals, improving fork durability and performance.

TOP FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
USA made Enduro® Max sealed bearings sustain 40% more load capacity
than standard radial bearings & provide more lateral support for the
multiple forces associated with mountain bike pivots.
X-Fusion has obsessively focused on producing the highest performance,
highest quality and highest value suspension products for mountain
bikes since 1999. They pride themselves on building XF products entirely
of metal parts because they know it’s what’s on the inside that makes a
difference.
DT Swiss X 1900 Spline wheels feature straight pull stainless steel spokes
with no spoke elbow, eliminating the biggest weak point of conventional
spokes.
Enduro®’s external BSA bottom bracket is produced in the USA using
Grade 10 Chromium balls that are twice as round as the industry standard.
Hardened & polished High Carbon Chromium races yeild extremely tough,
durable and noiseless ABEC-3 precision.
Shimano’s SLX brake levers feature a short stroke Servo Wave mechanism
for quicker engagement, 25% higher lever input and less free stroke for
aggressive riding.
