The brand name ‘Hazard 4®’ is derived from the standard classification index of threats: ‘1’ being low, through ‘2 & 3’ being moderate to ‘4’ being potentially deadly. Whether these threats are posed by our customers’ environment, the weather, industrial conditions, or a human threat like an unseen ambush, Hazard 4® gear is designed to be the last line of defense for its owner. When no one else may be around to render aid, we hope the functionality of our packs, bags, and other personal equipment may make the crucial difference that tips the odds in their favor.
brief history_
Our parent company Civilian Lab® has a number of years experience manufacturing top quality outdoor adventure, extreme sport, and travel gear in innovative configurations and form factors. It’s had countless users asking over those years for tactical and professional versions of that gear. A number of our customers have in deed snipped off the iconic orange Civilian® tags and brought their products into professional field use and the combat arena. Whether at FBI headquarters in Quantico Virginia, a medevac helicopter service in the American Midwest, Iraq, or aboard an Airforce spy plane, Hazard 4® DNA has served there. This line is our response to the wishes of the selfless few putting themselves on the line as a daily part of their job, and extensively incorporates their input.
