Best Acceleration
Best around switchback and tight corners and trees and slalom
Lightest
You can get the highest end components and great low prices for this bicycle so if this is important go this route.
Also great for small riders.
Worst traction up and downhill
Worst on dirt and paved road
Worst over Rocks Logs and big tough slow riding going over Large objects
29″ Wheel been around for 10 years:
Great Traction up and downhill
Great on fast Downhills
Great to best on dirt and paved roads
Great to best over Rocks Logs and big tough slow riding going over large Objects.
Great for beginner riders that are scared going over tough terrain.
The taller and heavier the rider the more benefits you get from this platform.
Moderate acceleration
Worst around switchback and tight corners and trees and slalom or tight turns.
Can be heavy or very heavy in lower price points.
Some companies (not Jamis) have dangerous stand over heights.
More expensive platform, parts can be hard to find and are more expensive and less options.
650B is in the middle has been around for about 3 years.

Some aspects not as good as the 29″ especially for large riders.
More expensive platform, parts can be hard to find and are more expensive and less options.
